ISFC and GrayMatters organized the School Leadership Conference on 10th December, 2011. The conference was held at Centre for Economic and social Studies where more than 130 school leaders participated along with many other people from the education sector.

The theme for the conference was "Schools of the Future” where the speakers discussed the changes in the private school sector considering market dynamics, regulatory framework, parent expectations and innovation in learning solutions. The school leaders also had an opportunity to interact with various solution providers present during the conference.

Dr. James Tooley (Professor at New Castle University and author of the book “The Beautiful Tree”) inaugurated the conference as the keynote speaker and spoke about the impact of low-cost affordable private schools across the global emerging economies.

The panel of speakers consisting of Mr. Amit Kaushik (COO, Educomp Solutions), Mr. Ashish Rajpal (CEO, iDiscoveri Education) and Mr. Atul Narania, (COO Butterfly Fields) was moderated by Brajesh Mishra, Managing Director of ISFC. The panel addressed some of the regulatory changes that are happening in the sector and shared their opinion on how schools should prepare themselves to keep up with the fast changing environment and thrive for excellence.

One of the highlights of the conference was the presentation from the Student Team of Riverside School, Ahmedabad. It was great to see how the school is empowering the young students which help them to stay creative, confident and socially responsible. It was also touching to see some of their initiatives making impact on the society.
